Farewell Avondale Bash

On Saturday, April 28th we will be having a big bash to celebrate a wonderful two years and to say goodbye to all our dear friends and regulars. We will be utilizing both the boutique and the restaurant to give plenty of space to mingle. There will be an open bar- both in the store and in the restaurant featuring wines by the glass, beer and a signature cocktail. Live music by Co-Alition. Heavy hors d’ oeuvres and spread on the k-bar. We would love to have you come celebrate our last night of service!

Since this is not a seated event, we decided to sell tickets instead of take reservations. Tickets are available in the restaurant or online for $60 at: Tickets for Farewell Avondale Bash

Tickets can be purchased the night of at the door for $75, so we encourage everyone to make their plans in advance…

And don’t forget to cure your hangover with bottomless mimosas or bloody mary’s for our final brunch, Sunday April 29th.

Farewell Avondale

Dear townies,

It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the closing of our doors on April 30th.    Late last year, we were presented with the opportunity to take over the entire space and expand the restaurant.  After thoughtful consideration, we decided it was not in our best interest.  It wasnt until recently that we made the final decision to close.  We hope that we will be able to find a new venue as wonderful as this to re-open down the road. The past two years have been amazing for us as you have welcomed us with open arms.  We are sad to leave, but want to thank you sincerely for all of the love and support in making town a success.  To honor these past two years, we will be hosting a Steele Wine Dinner on Thursday, April 26th and a Farewell Avondale Bash on April 28th.  Please come in over the next month so that we can say goodbye to all of our beloved customers.

Much Love,

Meghan, Scott & ‘town staff

Sous Chef Cameron Behny joins the ‘town team

The wait is finally over! After much pleading & general bribery, Executive Chef Scott Ostrander finally convinced Cameron Behny to join the ‘town team. Hailing from California, Behny started in the industry under Chef Ostrander in Savannah, GA at Savannah Bistro. She quickly worked her way up the ranks like a swift ninja, stepping on the throats of other line cooks who stood in between her and her goals. She seamlessly transitioned from prep to garde manger to the highly coveted station of the grill. When not flipping Hanger Steaks with swiftness and agility, she can be found walking the streets of Avondale with her puppy Sophie.

We are certainly thrilled and honored to have Sous Chef Cameron Behny join the team.
